Abstract
AAFLI will first establish a broad-based labor policy research institute to assist the Thai labor movement in developing well- reasoned policy initiatives on national issues affecting workers. Efforts will then be made to increase the participation of urban wage earners in the decisionmaking process and strengthen the capabilities of the Thai labor movement to act as their institutional voice. Finally, AAFLI will promote union development among private sector workers in order to incorporate them into the economic and political fabric of Thai society.
