Grant is provided under the PVO Co-financing II Project in Indonesia to the International Executive Service Corps (IESC) to assist three small enterprises in Indonesia and three graduate business schools.
1987

Abstract
(1) IESC will demonstrate the vitality of the private sector by assisting three relatively small businesses that are not in a position to pay the usual stipend to IESC. Preference will be given to businesses involved in agribusiness or handicraft manufacturing and facing policy, production, or marketing constraints. IESC will study these constraints and provide the businesses with TA in management and information on appropriate technology. (2) IESC will also assist three private nonprofit graduate business schools -- Institut Manjemen Prasetiya Mulya (IMPM), the Indonesian Professional Management Institute (IPMI), and Lembaga Pendidikan dan Penbinaan Manajemen (LPPM) -- in collaborative efforts to develop case studies and research materials to be used in business education. The three firms assisted under this grant could serve as case studies for this research component. IESC will also provide IMPM with two software programs for data processing.
