AID grant no. 698-0541.15-G-00-5286 to the League of Kenya Women Voters in support of establishing a rural based office in Kenya and carry out civic education and development training material
Grant is provided under the Democratic and Human Rights Fund Project to The League of Kenyan Women Voters (LKWV) to provide a forum for women to discuss the democratization process in Kenya following the repeal of section 2 (a) of the Kenyan Constitution, opening the way for multiparty elections.

Abstract
LKWV will use the grant to establish a rural-based office in one of Kenya"s districts in order to carry out civic education programs and develop training materials on such subjects as voter rights and civic awareness, and provide enhanced follow-up to league activities at the district level. LKWV"s membership is expected to increase significantly under the grant.
