Grant is provided under the Kenya Disaster Relief Project (9682050) to the World Food Programme (WFP) to conduct a rapid field assessment of food needs among populations in 28 drought-affected districts in Kenya.

Abstract
The assessment will help to prioritize relief activities among districts and to identify mechanisms for targeting aid to those most in need. Data will be collected from interviews, personal observations, and published sources relating to, inter alia, food distribution and stocks, pasture and livestock conditions, nutritional status, rainfall, food prices, health indicators, crop conditions, etc.
