Grant is provided under the Matching Grants to PVOs project to Food for the Hungry International (FHI) to support projects aimed at increasing food security and household income in Bolivia, Guatemala, and Kenya.

Abstract
FHI will strengthen its rural development centers in Bolivia and expand agricultural works in the Alta Verapaz region of Guatemala. In Kenya, FHI will promote microenterprises in the slums of Mathara Valley by launching loan projects with local institutions; it will also develop water sources in Marsabit and irrigation schemes in Garissa. To improve its capacity to monitor and evaluate these efforts, FHI will increase staffing at its U.S. headquarters, hire an evaluation and technical support coordinator, use more consultants, and improve its accounting procedures.
