Grant is provided under the PVO Initiatives Project to the Cooperative Housing Foundation (CHF) to partially support a collaborative program with the Association pour l"Amelioration et l"Amenagement de la Commune de Port Bouet (AMCAV), an Ivorian PVO, to improve sanitation and waste disposal practices in Alladjan, an urban community in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.

Abstract

CHF/AMCAV will organize a four-person community sanitation team and train them in the removal and proper disposal of solid waste from the neighborhood, maintenance of latrines, and community extension. CHF and AMCAV will also hold community workshops in health and sanitation education.
