Abstract
CARE will coordinate activities with the Ministry of Health, the Instituto Nacional de Aguas Potables y Alcantarillados, the Peace Corps, and FUNDESUR, a local PVO. To benefit approximately 33,000 to 41,000 persons, the project will: (1) improve water supplies; (2) strengthen waste disposal systems by promoting family latrines; (3) improve family health practices by training health promoters; and (4) establish community water committees.
