Grant to the Van Leer Jerusalem Foundation to train some 400 teachers in Israeli schools to present an educational program aimed at increasing mutual understanding and respect among Jewish and Arab students.

Abstract

The teachers will be trained in both the subject matter - the cultural heritage of both Jews and Arabs, and their present beliefs and practices - and in methods of teaching it.
