Abstract
training to LDC nationals in techniques of promoting U.S. direct private investment in their countries. IPS/NA will use A.I.D. funds to: (1) provide day-to-day assistance to 7 countries operating IPS offices under IPS/NA auspices (Bangladesh, Colombia, Dominica, Haiti, Paraguay, Portugal, and Senegal); (2) provide assistance to independent U.S. investment promotion offices of other developing countries; (3) publicize and promote specific investment opportunities in LDC"s and to U.S. companies seeking to do business in LDC"s; and (4) help establish the Caribbean IPS, which will operate in conjunction with IPS/NA.
