Abstract
The project aims to contribute to social cohesion through the transformation of schools into Comprehensive Centers for Peaceful Coexistence within the community. E&C is implemented through three operational areas: Education, Social Cohesion, and Alliances. The Education area focuses on training principals and teachers to build upon their capacity to be significant positive role players in their students' lives. This is achieved by providing schools with the tools, methodologies, and infrastructure necessary to become Comprehensive Centers for Peaceful-coexistence. These centers are designed to be safe and fun places where students can learn, play, practice sports, work on their soft and hard skills, and spend their time in positive activities within an established framework of rules and values necessary for peaceful-coexistence. The Social Cohesion area develops and implements strategies to strengthen the social fabric of the communities surrounding the schools. This is achieved by empowering community members and providing them with the skills and knowledge to manage their own community projects successfully. The goal is to reconstruct their sense of belonging to the community and draw them closer to the schools to become active players within the education community. The Alliances area encompasses the project's efforts to establish public-private partnerships that promote social cohesion in education communities. This area works to obtain leverage contributions from the private sector to consolidate and expand the scope, efficiency, and sustainable impact of education and social cohesion activities carried out by the project. The project's main purpose is to build and strengthen bonds of rooting, sense of belonging, and local identity between family and community that contribute to reducing migration. The Education area is working directly with public schools participating in the project to provide them with the necessary tools, methodologies, and infrastructure to become Comprehensive Centers for Peaceful-coexistence.
