Appropriate technology for renewable resources

Washington University"s Center for Development Technology, with help from Volunteers in Technical Assistance, will: (1) identify technologies that use either agricultural residues, non-wood fibers, timber wastes, or solar energy; and (2) describe the roles that U.S. firms, universities, PVO"s, etc. could play in helping Third World institutions to deploy such technologies. At least three feasible technology initiatives will be identified, and these will be presented for discussion at the UN Conference on Science and Technology for Development in 1979.
