Abstract
Against this backdrop, this study aims to assess the needs of private voluntary development assistance groups in responding to issues relating to natural resource management, in the context of developing programs and projects. The study demonstrates that interest exists in this area and that the importance of including natural resource management in development activities is recognized. Though organizations hire experienced and trained staff, the majority of their personnel seem to have experience in fields other than natural resource management. (Author abstract, from PN-ABN-356)
