Abstract
The report draws on a variety of international data sources and uses international benchmarking against reference group medians, comparator countries, and statistical norms to identify major constraints, trends, and opportunities for strengthening growth and reducing poverty. This study uses India and Vietnam as direct comparators. Both have large populations and both have undertaken economic reforms in recent years that have led to rapid economic gains that could provide useful examples for Bangladesh.
