Abstract
The program aimed to provide practical training to judges, lawyers, and other stakeholders on the principles and procedures of oral commercial trials. The program began on February 13, 2012, in the Distrito Federal, Mexico, with a focus on the preliminary hearing and the incorporation of evidence into the trial process. The training sessions included presentations, panel discussions, and practical exercises, covering topics such as the admissibility of evidence, the order of presentation, and the management of objections. On February 14, 2012, the training continued with a focus on the interrogation of witnesses, the cross-examination of witnesses, and the presentation of expert testimony. The training sessions also included practical exercises, where participants were divided into groups to practice their skills. On February 15, 2012, the training concluded with a simulation of an oral commercial trial, where participants were given the opportunity to apply the skills and knowledge they had acquired during the training program. The simulation was followed by a session of questions and answers, where participants had the opportunity to clarify any doubts they may have had. The training program was also conducted in other locations, including Mérida, Yucatán, from March 28 to 31, 2012, and Ermosa, Tabasco, from April 26 to 28, 2012. The program followed a similar structure, with a focus on the principles and procedures of oral commercial trials, and included presentations, panel discussions, and practical exercises. Throughout the training program, the emphasis was on the practical application of the principles and procedures of oral commercial trials, with a focus on the skills and knowledge required to conduct an effective oral commercial trial.
