Project to strengthen national justice systems in the Eastern Caribbean and Belize.

Abstract

The project continues activities previously funded under Project 5980645. A major component will be to construct a Judicial and Legal Services Complex in St. Kitts-Nevis to replace the structure destroyed by fire in 1982. The building will house courtrooms, a law library, judges" chambers, a law records registry, and offices for the Attorney General and court Magistrates. The project will also support new country-specific legal activities (including law revisions and reforms), regional TA, and training of justice system personnel at the University of the West Indies.
