Abstract
This report has two aims. First, because of the extremely active economic role of women in Eastern Europe, the report examines gender issues and makes recommendations for integrating gender considerations into the design of the project. Second, the report seeks to identify areas in which the RITE Project complements or overlaps with other private sector initiatives. Included are a series of matrices that summarize key UsAID private sector initiatives in seven areas: export promotion; investment promotion; privatization; financial sector development; institutional development; small and medium enterprise development; and infrastructure development.
