Abstract
The program focuses on providing comprehensive care to OVC, including case plan achievement, strengthened referral systems, and integration of violence against children prevention and response activities. Case plan achievement is a key component of the 4Children program. The program aims to ensure that OVC have access to case plans that outline their needs and provide a framework for service delivery. In the reporting period, 4Children achieved a significant increase in case plan completion rates, with 85% of OVC having a completed case plan. This achievement is attributed to the program's efforts to strengthen referral systems and improve collaboration between service providers. Strengthened referral systems are critical to ensuring that OVC receive the necessary services to meet their needs. 4Children has established a network of referral partners that provide a range of services, including healthcare, education, and economic strengthening. In the reporting period, 4Children expanded its referral network to include new partners, increasing the number of OVC who have access to services. The Global Social Service Workforce Alliance is another key component of the 4Children program. The alliance aims to strengthen the social service workforce in countries where 4Children operates. In the reporting period, 4Children provided training and technical assistance to social service workers, improving their capacity to provide services to OVC. Integrating violence against children prevention and response activities is a critical component of the 4Children program. The program aims to ensure that OVC are protected from violence and abuse, and that perpetrators are held accountable. In the reporting period, 4Children implemented a range of activities to prevent and respond to violence against children, including training for service providers and community-based initiatives. The program also focuses on enhancing clinic-community linkages for child and adolescent survivors of sexual violence. 4Children has established partnerships with healthcare providers to ensure that OVC who have experienced sexual violence receive the necessary medical and psychosocial services. In the reporting period, 4Children expanded its partnerships with healthcare providers, increasing the number of OVC who have access to these services. In addition to these activities, 4Children also focuses on early childhood development (ECD), mental health, and HIV testing and services integration into OVC programming. The program aims to ensure that OVC have access to a range of services that meet their needs, including ECD, mental health, and HIV testing and services. The program operates in several countries, including Botswana, Democratic Republic of Congo, Haiti, Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, South Sudan, Swaziland, and Uganda. 4Children works with a range of partners, including civil society organizations, government agencies, and community-based organizations. In terms of program management, 4Children has a strong structure and staffing in place. The program is led by a team of experienced professionals who have expertise in OVC programming. 4Children also has a robust financial management system in place, which ensures that funds are used efficiently and effectively. Despite the progress made, 4Children faces several challenges, including limited resources and capacity constraints. The program also faces challenges related to gender inclusion, environmental compliance, and human subjects protection. However, 4Children is committed to addressing these challenges and ensuring that the program is implemented in a way that is responsive to the needs of OVC. Overall, the 4Children program is making significant progress in improving the lives of OVC in various countries. The program's focus on comprehensive care, strengthened referral systems, and integration of violence against children prevention and response activities is critical to ensuring that OVC receive the necessary services to meet their needs.
