FY 1990 cash transfer of $7 million to the Government of the Ivory Coast (GOIC) in support of its economic stabilization program.

Abstract
The cash transfer, which will be disbursed in a single tranche, is part of a multi-donor initiative to improve the GOIC"s balance of payments and facilitate a resumption of sustainable economic growth. To this end, U.S. funds will be used to help the GOIC meet current external obligations, such as (in descending order of priority) U.S. Government loans, commercial loans guaranteed by the U.S. Government, and loans from multilateral institutions. There are no conditionality provisions, and no local currency will be generated.
