Abstract
The curriculum is divided into three modules: Module 1, Module 2, and Module 3. Module 1, "Basics of Computer Literacy. Internet Basics for Librarians," is authored by Filipova L.Ya. and Kuzminska O.H. This module consists of two sections, each divided into several topics. The first section covers computer basics, including the introduction to information technologies, operating systems, and office software. The second section focuses on Internet basics, including the World Wide Web, Internet navigation, and Internet search methods. The goal of Module 1 is to enable librarians to effectively use modern information and communication technologies in the library sphere. The course objectives include acquiring skills in using job-related devices and application software, learning the main stages and trends of the World Wide Web development, and introducing the Internet information service. The curriculum also aims to teach librarians the skills of effective use of popular Internet programs. The curriculum for librarians' qualifications enhancement is designed to enhance the professional competences of librarians, including informational, communicative, and cultural competences. The curriculum is based on the principles of lifelong education and aims to equip librarians with the necessary skills and knowledge to work efficiently in the Internet environment. Module 2, "New Library Service: Using Information Technologies and the Internet in Libraries," is authored by Shevchenko І.О. and Boytsova S.G. This module focuses on modern library work basics, including information monitoring and information search on the Internet at users' requests. Module 3, "Library Innovations Based on Project and Human Resources Management and New Library Initiatives," is authored by Bashun O.V. This module focuses on knowledge and skills of innovative library management, including the ability to create flexible managerial style, plan and report accordingly, and control library work with the help of management, marketing, fundraising, and social partnership methods. The curriculum for librarians' qualifications enhancement is an important task of the Ukrainian society in an information era.
