Abstract
The program's success can be attributed to the effective implementation of the four key interventions, which addressed the root causes of soil degradation and limited market access. The initiative's focus on sustainable agriculture practices and market linkage facilitation helped to improve crop yields and increase household income. The program's impact on food security was significant, with a 27% increase in household income among program participants. This increase in income was largely due to the improved crop yields and increased market access. The program's success also had a positive impact on women-headed households, which showed higher adoption rates for all practices except mechanical land preparation. The agricultural development initiative in Rwanda is a prime example of how effective implementation of sustainable agriculture practices and market linkage facilitation can improve food security and increase household income. The program's success can be replicated in other regions, with a focus on addressing the root causes of soil degradation and limited market access.
