1983
Abstract
The project, to be implemented by a USAID/I Policy Committee, will finance studies, seminars, translations, publications, small experiments, short study tours, and TA regarding middle-level development issues such as basic health care, employment generation, and private enterprise development. Amendment of 5/28/85 extends project one year to support studies and action experiments in areas of national policy. This new project focus has been requested by Indonesian ministries. USAID/I and the Government of Indonesia (GOI) are considering creation of a 2-3 person secretariat under the GOI Steering Committee to manage the project. (PD-AAR-925) Update on renewable energy activities: Project Implementation Letter no. 30 of 12/3/85 authorizes additional funding for subproject no. 13, "Studies and Development of Gasification in Rural Development." (PD-CAN-051) Amendment of 6/6/86 extends PACD 3 years (to 6/91) to allow the National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas) to undertake policy research and analysis in the areas of employment, industry, and trade and the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) to strengthen its data base and methodologies. Long- and short-term TA, data processing equipment, and studies will be funded. (PD-CAS-430) Amendment of 2/8/93 extends PACD 2 years to 6/95 and funds long- and short-term TA in the areas of industry, trade, employment, and regional economic issues. (PD-ABF-724)
