Abstract
The initiative aimed to improve the employability of victims through a comprehensive approach to address the barriers they face in the labor market. The initiative focused on three key interventions: training programs, infrastructure development, and market linkage facilitation. The training programs were designed to equip victims with the necessary skills and knowledge necessary to access formal employment. The programs included vocational training, entrepreneurship training, and entrepreneurship development. The infrastructure development component aimed to improve access to markets and transportation for victims, enabling them to reach employment opportunities more easily. The market linkage facilitation component aimed to connect victims with potential employers and facilitate their access to job opportunities. This was achieved through the creation of a platform that brought together victims, employers, and other stakeholders to facilitate the matching process. The initiative also included a component focused on addressing the social and cultural barriers that victims face in the labor market. This included the development of a program to promote social inclusion and the creation of a network of social organizations to support victims in their job search. The initiative was implemented in several regions of Colombia, including the departments of Antioquia, Antioquia, and Cauca. The initiative was led by the Servicio Público de Empleo, in collaboration with the USAID and other stakeholders. The initiative aimed to improve the employability of victims and increase their access to formal employment. The initiative was evaluated through a midterm evaluation, which showed that the initiative had a positive impact on the employability of victims.
