Abstract
The project aimed to improve the competitiveness of smallholder farmers and increase their access to markets. The project was implemented by Abt Associates Inc. in collaboration with various partners, including CACI/VOCA, J.E. Austin, and Banyan Global. The project focused on extending the Agricultural Trade Promotion (ATP) MIS system to E-ATP commodities and ATP/E-ATP MIS expansion to cover Nigeria. The ATP MIS system was designed to provide real-time market information to farmers, traders, and traders' associations. The system was extended to cover E-ATP commodities, including maize, rice, and beans. The project also focused on expanding the ATP/E-ATP MIS system to cover Nigeria. The system was designed to provide market information to farmers, traders, and traders' associations in Nigeria. The system was implemented in collaboration with the Nigerian government and various stakeholders. The E-ATP project also focused on improving the competitiveness of smallholder farmers. The project provided training and technical assistance to farmers on best practices in agriculture. The project also established demonstration plots to demonstrate the effectiveness of new technologies and practices.
