Financial sector development project

The project will provide USAID"s with TA in promoting policy reform and in designing and implementing projects to promote financial markets. The project will focus on four areas: (1) developing strategies to improve the financial position of the private sector, including policy reform and the creation of instruments, mechanisms, and institutions that will facilitate financial intermediation in the economy; (2) supplying both short- and long-term TA to implement financial strategies; (3) undertaking applied research to analyze experiences gained and generate new insights into the financial needs and potential of the private sector in developing countries; and (4) disseminating information and research findings through workshops, conferences, publications, and occasional papers.
