Forest industry challenges of development and balanced use
The report recognizes that optimum, sustainable use of the forests will involve a balance of three purposes: harvesting of technical wood for secondary domestic processing; harvesting of firewood; and providing for recreational activities.

Abstract
The needs for managing the forests to achieve the first two of these purposes are identified and their costs quantified. The revenue stream arising from controlled sale of wood products of the forest, lumber and firewood, is evaluated. (Author abstract)
