Sign inUSAID. MISSION TO EL SALVADOR
OPG to the International Executive Service Corps (IESC) to establish a fund (the Technical Assistance Sub-Project Fund) to subsidize its provision of TA services to private and public sector enterprises and organizations in El Salvador.
1989

Abstract
IESC will use the fund to offer technical expertise on a one-on-one basis to help two client groups: (1) private enterprises, in efforts to achieve increased productivity, cost savings, improved management, and/or the creation of new job opportunities; and (2) parastatal or public organizations, in the areas of financial sector reform, privatization, industrial and agroindustrial development, and microenterprise development. IESC will focus on providing subsidized TA to small and medium-sized firms (and microenterprises if grouped together) that cannot meet the full costs of IESC services, but it will also render assistance to large firms that pay 100% of costs. Approximately 60 enterprises will receive IESC assistance, 40 under the subsidy fund and 20 paying the full fee. The fund will cover recruitment, travel, and per diem costs for IESC volunteer executives. The project grant also provides financial support for IESC"s local operating costs.
