Abstract

The Center, the only one of its kind providing medical care for, and conducting research with regard to, poor Italian children suffering from leukemia and solid cancerous tumors, was established in temporary quarters in 1975. The Center will be an autonomous entity, but operated in association with Catholic University"s Hospital and Rehabilitation Center.
