Abstract
The program includes: construction of household digesters; research and development in digester design and equipment; expansion of facilities for local manufacture of digester components; training of farmers and extension workers in the use, maintenance, and construction of digesters and in use of the gas and slurry; development of the concept of community biogas plants; and sociological studies of the impact of biogas development on living patterns.
