Abstract
It is a small project in a small country, trying to accomplish an ambitious agenda with limited resources. In pursuit of its objectives, it has utilized a structure somewhat different from most of the other HEALTHCOM sites. Its experiences offer some valuable insights for other HEALTHCOM projects, and for social marketing interventions elsewhere. The purpose of this report is to describe some of the salient features of the project in Paraguay, and to draw from that description lessons and issues that have broader application. The report is not intended to be an exhaustive description of HEALTHCOM"s efforts in Paraguay, nor is it intended to pass judgment on the success of the intervention there. The body of the report is structured in three major sections. The first is primarily descriptive of the project. The second considers findings related to characteristics of this specific intervention, presenting new descriptive information as necessary. The final section raises issues that transcend particular project decisions or circumstances. (Author abstract)
