PES covers the period 7/82-5/83 and is based on two attached special evaluations (XD-AAP-143-A and XD-AAP-143-B); a 2/84 memorandum updating project status is also attached. Action decisions are: (1) for the Fundacion de Credito Educativo (FCE) to redefine its student loan procedures to reach a "less advantaged" sector; (2) for FCE to clarify its institutional loan standards (for commodity and faculty loans) to make them more advantageous and attainable; (3) to improve communication between the FCE and Texas A&M University (TAMU) teams and hire additional FCE staff; and (4) for FCE to reassess its computer system and orient it towards a user policy.
