USAID. MISSION TO CHILE
Project to assist in the construction of 200-250 basic school buildings in low-income rural communities and peri-urban areas throughout Chile.
1975

Abstract
CARE/Chile will supervise project activities, while construction will be actually carried out by community members. Individual communities will also donate land (in some cases) and basic construction materials such as sand, gravel, and cement. The Society for Construction of Educational Establishments, a Government of Chile agency, will provide TA. The project is expected to benefit about 20,000 rural school children, as well as parents and community members who might use the buildings for nonformal educational activities.
