Including gender in the work of USAID/Mexico : lessons learned

This document discusses a workshop conducted in Mexico City in July, 1997 to provide guidance to USAID/Mexico and its partners on including gender in their projects and programs.

Abstract

Section 1 reviews USAID/Mexico objectives, strategies, and R4s for the inclusion of gender, while Section II documents conversations between USAID/Mexico and its partners on the subject. Section III presents the results of the workshop in terms of the concepts discussed and lessons learned; materials and instructions for some of the workshop exercises are found in the document's appendix. Section IV provides specific recommendations to the staff of USAID/Mexico for follow-up action. Section V presents a bibliography of Spanish-language cross-sectoral instructional materials on gender.
