Abstract
The study concentrates mainly on association development and financial services to agribusinesses, secondarily on nontraditional agricultural export development and small/medium enterprise development; attention is also given to issues in project monitoring and evaluation. Regional findings are presented first, followed by country studies. Each country study includes findings on donor projects, associations, development finance organizations, and private agribusiness firms, along with lessons learned and implications for USAID planning. A matrix summarizing the findings on the larger projects and associations is appended. Includes bibliography.
