Abstract
This policy aims to provide access to the Internet for official activities and job performance on an as-needed basis. The policy is applicable to all Kabul Municipality employees, including remote Directorates and District Offices employees. Access to the Internet is granted based on an employee's current job responsibilities, and users must submit an official internet access form to the KM IT department after approval from their unit head. The IT department then checks the user's computer and connects them to the Internet. Internet access is restricted and under control by the KM IT department for all users. All users connected to the Internet must follow the standard KM policy for Internet usage. This policy is designed to ensure that Internet access is used for official purposes only and that employees adhere to the guidelines set forth by the municipality. The policy is intended to promote responsible and efficient use of Internet resources. The policy is overseen by the DG Policy and Coordination, with approval from the Kabul City Mayor. The policy is a critical component of the municipality's efforts to manage and regulate Internet access among its employees. By establishing clear guidelines and procedures, the municipality aims to ensure that Internet access is used in a manner that supports official activities and promotes the overall goals of the organization. The policy's emphasis on restricting and controlling Internet access highlights the municipality's commitment to maintaining a secure and productive work environment. By limiting access to the Internet to only those employees who require it for their job responsibilities, the municipality can minimize the risk of unauthorized use and ensure that employees are focused on their official duties.
