Abstract
Grant will be provided to the World Bank, but the German Agency for Technical Cooperation will execute the project. Concentrating on program, policy, organizational, and management issues relating to agricultural research, ISNAR will assist LDC"s in identifying research problems, formulating research policies, strengthening institutional infrastructure and research facilities, and promoting specific national or regional research programs. Special emphasis will be given to introducing technologies suitable to smallholders and to local farming conditions. ISNAR will provide assistance only at the request of an LDC government and will work closely with LDC agricultural specialists.
