Abstract
The Hub's primary goal is to manage, share, and facilitate the application of FEWS NET data, information, and knowledge to sustainably prevent food insecurity and famine. The Hub's technical workstreams include the Data Management Platform (DMP), the Website platform, and the Knowledge and Learning (K&L) workstream. The DMP will focus on managing, maintaining, and improving the DMP and content, ensuring platform compliance by automating data publication to external users, creating a more complete data inventory, and publishing additional complex visualizations. The Website platform will manage, maintain, and improve the FEWS NET Project's official web platform, including the redesign and refresh of the fews.net website, and providing website management expertise to content creators across the Project. The K&L workstream will support collaboration across implementing partners and increase access to FEWS NET's knowledge and data products by adapting the FEWS NET Exchange structure, continuing documentation, and expanding outreach and social media engagement. The Hub's Management workstream will support USAID's efforts to strengthen managerial and technical collaboration among the greater FEWS team, design and implement a Hub-specific performance management system, and drive and report on Hub activities. The Hub will also capture, document, and share FEWS NET analytical products, datasets, methodologies, and learning through its technical workstreams. The Hub's activities will focus on the following key areas: * Data Management Platform: * Automate data publication to external users * Create a more complete data inventory * Publish additional complex visualizations * Website platform: * Redesign and refresh the fews.net website * Provide website management expertise to content creators * Knowledge and Learning workstream: * Adapt the FEWS NET Exchange structure * Continue documentation and expand outreach and social media engagement * Management workstream: * Support USAID's efforts to strengthen managerial and technical collaboration * Design and implement a Hub-specific performance management system The Hub's objectives and activities are designed to support the FEWS NET mission and sustainably prevent food insecurity and famine.
