Limited scope grant agreement between the United States of American acting through the Regional Office for Central American Programs (ROCAP) on behalf of the Agency for International Development (AID) and the Permanent Secretariat of the General Treaty of Central American Economic Integration (SIECA)

Program development and support grant is provided to the Permanent Secretariat of the General Treaty of Central American Economic Integration (SIECA) to provide support for a meeting of the Central American Parliament"s (PARLACEN"s) Integration Commission.

Abstract

The purpose of the meeting will be to analyze recent developments relating to Central America economic integration and cooperation and to establish communication mechanisms between national congresses and PARLACEN. The Integration Commission will include two representatives each from PARLACEN member countries (El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras), prospective members (Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and Panama), and from Belize, which has been invited as an observer.
