Abstract
A suggestion is given for the health sector to take the lead within each of these groups and in their joint efforts. The role of community participation is also discussed. The report recommends strategies for developing locally sustainable approaches to reduce the transmission of malaria and to prevent or reduce the impact of malaria on a development initiative.
