Memorandum report on the USAID/Tanzania participant training program

Inspector General"s office, was undertaken to determine the extent of USAID/Tanzania"s accountability and control USAID/Tanzania over its participant training program; to calculate the failure-to-return rate for AID-funded Tanzanian participants; and to evaluate the effectiveness of A.I.D."s participant training program procedures. Two area auditors held discussions with Mission and Tanzanian Government officials and reviewed their records and files. Two major recommendations, concerning program design and follow-up after training, are provided. (Author abstract, modified)
