Abstract
The project is part of the USAID's efforts to improve Palestinians' access to basic infrastructure and services, thereby contributing to the Palestinian economy. The TWCP project focuses on rehabilitating and upgrading the existing wastewater collection system in Tulkarem, with the ultimate goal of reducing the risk of waterborne diseases and environmental pollution. The project involves the construction of new infrastructure, including pipes, pumps, and treatment facilities, as well as the rehabilitation of existing infrastructure. The project is being implemented by The Morganti Group, Inc. under a Task Order No. 72029422F00002, with a contract value of AID-294-I-17-00003. The project timeline is divided into several phases, with key milestones and deadlines established for each phase. The project's safety protocols are in place to ensure the well-being of workers and the public. Environmental compliance is also a top priority, with measures in place to minimize the project's impact on the environment. Traffic control measures are being implemented to manage the flow of traffic and prevent disruptions to the local community. Community outreach is an essential component of the project, with efforts being made to engage with local residents and stakeholders to raise awareness about the project's objectives and benefits. A Gender Action Plan has been developed to ensure that the project's benefits are equitably distributed among all members of the community, regardless of gender. The project's coordination and meetings are being managed through a structured process, with regular updates and progress reports submitted to the USAID. Site visitors are being accommodated, and material and equipment are being delivered on site as required. Progress and scheduling are being closely monitored, with a focus on meeting the project's deadlines and milestones. Activities during the reporting period included the completion of several key tasks, including the installation of new pipes and pumps, and the rehabilitation of existing infrastructure. Planned activities for the next month include the continuation of construction work, the installation of new treatment facilities, and the completion of environmental mitigation measures. Indicators of progress are being tracked, including the completion of tasks, the delivery of materials and equipment, and the satisfaction of stakeholders. The project's working and non-working days are being managed to ensure that the project stays on track. Site memos are being maintained to document important information and decisions. Quality control and test results are being monitored to ensure that the project meets the required standards. Inspection requests are being processed, and procurement activities are being managed to ensure that materials and equipment are delivered on time. Non-compliance reports are being logged, and submittals are being made as required. Requests for information are being processed, and transmittals are being made to stakeholders. Payments are being made to contractors and suppliers, and change orders are being processed as required. Change order requests are being reviewed, and obstacles and challenges are being addressed through a structured process. Progress photos are being taken to document the project's progress. The project's implementation is being closely monitored, with a focus on meeting the project's objectives and deadlines. The project's success will contribute to the improvement of Palestinians' access to basic infrastructure and services, thereby contributing to the Palestinian economy.
