2015 · 6 pages

Abstract
The survey aimed to collect data on children aged 4-16 nationwide, with a target of interviewing at least 30,000 parent/guardians to gather information on 60,000 to 72,000 children. The survey was conducted in March 2015. Interviewer manuals were used to guide data collection, and several errata and clarifications were made to ensure accurate data collection. Changes were made to the interviewer manual, including updating codes for household questionnaire results, adding the word "Final" to certain codes, and modifying questions related to school expenses, food and beverage, and transportation. The survey also included a new subsection on total school expenditures, which would be automatically calculated by the final questionnaire for the main field work. The household questionnaire included a section on the owner of the house and their address, which was recorded at the end of the questionnaire. The questionnaire also included specifications for certain questions, such as the definition of liquid petroleum gas (LPG) and the coding of bottled water as the main source of drinking water. Additionally, the literacy assessment question-by-question specifications included guidance on how to code responses to true or false questions. The survey also included reminders for interviewers, such as the importance of completing the Early Childhood Questionnaire (ECQ) before the Primary Grade Questionnaire (PGQ) and the flexibility in administering the Literacy Assessment Questionnaire (LAQ). To avoid introducing errors, interviewers were advised to swipe at the top of each screen when moving forward or backwards.
