North Kordofan emergency water supply and management project, project no. 650-E-606-G-00-6041 : project assistance completion report

All planned outputs were successfully accomplished. The project rehabilitated 13 wateryards, 11 boreholes, and 9 hand-dug wells; drilled 3 new boreholes; constructed 8 hand-dug wells; and renovated 3 hafirs. CARE also provided two complementary extension programs. The first instructed village committees on water-related topics including health implications, sanitation, up-keep, and management. The second program established pump repair workshops in select villages. The extension component substantially improved beneficiaries' standard of living.
