Paraguay -- housing investment guaranty

Housing Guaranty (HG) is provided to the National Savings and Loan Bank of Paraguay (BNAP) to encourage the country"s savings and loan system to finance housing projects for low-income families.

Abstract

The HG will provide funds for: (1) 650 loans, averaging $750 each, for improvements to existing housing; (2) 750 loans, averaging $2,000 each, to low-income property holders for self-help housing construction; and (3) 625 loans, averaging $3,200 each, for contractor-built houses. BNAP will also receive short-term TA to increase its capability to administer the program.
