Abstract
This manual was written as an aid to evaluating contemplated pesticide uses in programs for developing countries and ensuring the safe and efficient use of pesticides. Because the knowledge of pesticide handling and use is limited, only existing information, naturally, can be offered. The manual, however, is not to be regarded as a "how-to-do" instruction book, but rather as an overview of all the known aspects of pesticides, with emphasis on hazards and unknowns.
