Abstract
The plan was developed by organizations of transgender women, including ADESENI, ANIT, REDTRANS, and ODETRANS, in alliance with University Research Corporation (URC). The plan aimed to reduce social, economic, political, and cultural inequalities. The plan was implemented in the departments of Managua, León, and Chinandega, and consisted of 12 actions, all of which were planned and 11 of which were completed, representing a 92% completion rate. The plan also included 32 tasks, 89% of which were completed. Additional processes were carried out as part of secondary actions, including meetings with authorities from the penitentiary system, psychosocial accompaniments, and meetings with CONISIDA. The methodology of work in alliance was a key factor in achieving the objectives of the plan, as it allowed for effective equity and effectiveness in the use of resources. The active presence of leaders in the territories where the activities were implemented also facilitated the effectiveness of the convocation of participants. However, some limitations were encountered during the implementation of the activities, including the late start of the activities and the updating of information presented in the formation processes. To address these limitations, additional support was provided by volunteer promoters within the allied organizations, improved access to virtual information, and coordination with links in health centers and hospitals to obtain sources of information.
