Abstract
The project aimed to promote gender equality and promote the role of Gender Equality Officers at the local government level. The paper presents a concrete scenario for anchoring the Gender Equality Officers within local government institutions. It also presents recommendations on the needed amendments to the legal framework to ensure the sustainability of the Gender Equality Officer position. The paper highlights the importance of the Gender Equality Officer position in promoting gender equality and promoting the needs of all citizens. The initiative focused on developing a functional analysis of the Gender Equality Officer position at the local government level. The analysis aimed to identify the key challenges and gaps in the implementation of the Gender Equality Officer position. The paper presents a detailed analysis of the key challenges and gaps in the implementation of the Gender Equality Officer position.
