Population and family planning : amendment no. 1

Emphases during the extension period will be placed on: (1) outreach to rural areas and to groups under age 25; (2) increasing the role of private, for-profit providers of family planning services; and (3) increasing the self-sufficiency of project-supported, nonprofit providers, especially the Association for the Well-being of the Ecuadorean Family (APROFE). Funding to the Ministry of Defense"s FP program and to the National Institute of Statistics and Census (INEC) will be discontinued.
