Abstract
This paper is based on his experience working in two distinct ecological areas, forest and savannah areas, and in using two different methods of data collection, a farm business survey and a cost route survey. In this paper he first discussed the special problems of collecting data under forest conditions followed by a discussion of the problems encountered in the use of the farm business survey and then a discussion of the methodological problems encountered in using the cost route survey method.
