Abstract
PAR has formed high-impact alliances with major actors in the private and public sectors, media, academia, and civil society to conceptualize and implement initiatives that contribute to changing perceptions, attitudes, and behaviors, helping Colombians to come to terms with the past, engage in constructive dialogue, and transform old narratives forged by conflict. PAR consists of three main components that aim to support truth-telling and memory initiatives, promote greater awareness of reconciliation efforts, and leverage strategic public and private alliances that foster socioeconomic opportunities in target municipalities. The program has undergone modifications to address issues related to the migration crisis resulting from political and economic instability in neighboring Venezuela. PAR plays a key role in facilitating solutions to the migration phenomenon, working alongside the Government of Colombia, local governments, public-private alliances, and international cooperation organizations. During the reporting period, PAR and its partners achieved several notable results. Fundación ANDI launched a directory listing over 200 business units run by or benefiting Venezuelan migrants to strengthen inclusive purchasing. The #SomosPARtedelaSolución campaign, which includes a series of interviews by journalist Mauricio Rodriguez, reached 12,000 viewers. Semana Rural published two digital newspapers and received 129,883 visits to its website. CRC published eight reconciliation success stories highlighting PAR-supported projects in seven regions, with focuses on rural productive units, environmental conservation, and reconciliation. Proyecto Migración Venezuela surveyed 1,003 people in 93 municipalities on their perceptions relating to migration, sharing the results with the GOC and USAID among others. A live event highlighting rural women and telling positive stories of resilience and reconciliation was viewed by 790 people, with the recording being viewed 79,100 times. Additionally, 253 people received psychosocial assistance following calls to a new suicide prevention hotline, and 16 social leaders were empowered through communications skills to build their audiences and raise awareness about their local initiatives. PAR's efforts have also focused on promoting national reconciliation initiatives. The program has supported the development of a directory of business units run by or benefiting Venezuelan migrants, which aims to strengthen inclusive purchasing. PAR has also partnered with Semana Rural to publish digital newspapers and increase awareness about reconciliation efforts. Furthermore, the program has supported the publication of reconciliation success stories highlighting PAR-supported projects in seven regions. In terms of geographic focus, PAR has been working in various regions of Colombia, including the Caribbean, Antioquia, Pacific, Central, Orinoquia, and Amazon. The program has also been working in border municipalities, including Arauca, Norte de Santander, and La Guajira. PAR's efforts have been focused on promoting socioeconomic opportunities, addressing issues related to migration, and supporting national reconciliation initiatives. Overall, PAR's efforts have been focused on promoting awareness and mobilization initiatives that boost economic and social opportunities through transformative alliances. The program has achieved several notable results, including the launch of a directory listing over 200 business units run by or benefiting Venezuelan migrants, the publication of digital newspapers, and the empowerment of social leaders through communications skills.
