USAID. MISSION TO DOMINICAN REPUBLIC
PACR of a project (1980-1982) to repair and reconstruct rural homes in the Dominican Republic which were damaged by Hurricanes David and Frederick in 1979.
1990

Abstract
Although all project documents have been destroyed and there are no personnel remaining who remember what went on under the project, it is evident that all activities were satisfactorily executed. However, some problems arose due to the use of construction materials that were either unsuitable or prohibited by A.I.D., such as asbestos roofing. This PACR was prepared only in order to formally close out the activity. At this late date, the only lesson that can be learned from the project is that project officers should be committed to presenting a completion report as soon as possible after the PACD.
